Never Too Old To Cut The Banana When Erected Grandma is 86. The older she gets the more she becomes a new girl.

Exploring sexuality in elders by focusing on the social, cultural, and religious influences, Never Too Old To Cut The Banana When Erected visualises the mental health developments in elders who continue to explore their sexuality. Due to the stigma related to their sexuality, secret pleasures are discovered in everyday life objects.

This image series was inspired by a poem Keyezua wrote about her grandmother.

12th Hour
Grandma became a different girl
she would giggle for a cold lemonade
play with her afro to seduce the reverend

Grandma changed
her voice is childish and to finish her conversations
she needs a glass of whisky to stay awake

Grandma changed
she now has stories that have no end
and are repeated once in every 5 hours

Grandma is 86
and the older the years
the more she becomes a new girl
